The MedCapsule Android app is a content reader and viewer application. It allows enrolled students to securely access course content — including video lectures, audio lectures, PDFs, and quizzes — after logging in with their account credentials.

This app does not process any payments. Student enrollment and all fee payments are handled exclusively through our website at https://medcapsule.in. No purchases or financial transactions of any kind occur within this app.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, gender, and profile picture when you register on our website.
Login Credentials: Email and password used to authenticate your session in the app.
Usage Data: Pages visited, content viewed, quiz scores, and course progress to personalise your learning experience.
Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers for app compatibility and security.
Communications: Emails you send to our support team.

We do not collect payment card details, UPI credentials, or any financial information through this app.

4. Content Access & Intellectual Property Protection

All course content on MedCapsule — including video lectures, audio lectures, PDFs, quizzes, and notes — is the exclusive intellectual property of Vyom Health Sciences and its content partners.

Content is streamed and delivered solely for personal, non-commercial educational use by enrolled students.
All video and audio content is protected using HLS encryption and server-side transcoding. Raw media files are never directly accessible.
PDF and document content is delivered in encrypted form and rendered securely within the app.
Downloading, recording, screen-capturing, redistributing, or sharing any content without written permission is strictly prohibited.
We log access patterns and device fingerprints to detect and act against unauthorised sharing of accounts or content.
Violations may result in immediate account suspension and legal action under the Copyright Act and applicable law.

5. Enrollment & Payments

Student enrollment and fee payment are handled exclusively on our web platform at https://medcapsule.in, processed securely through Razorpay. Once enrolled via the website, students may log in to this app to access their course content. No payment functionality exists within this app.

6. Sharing of Information

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We may share it only with:

Service Providers: Google Cloud (hosting and storage) and email delivery services — under strict data processing agreements.
Legal Authorities: When required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of users or the company.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active or as required to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email below. Content access logs may be retained for up to 3 years for anti-piracy and audit purposes.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, encrypted media streaming (HLS), secure boot on servers, restricted firewall access, and encrypted secrets management. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

MedCapsule is intended for users aged 16 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
